We will begin with a general discussion about human rights and what that means. Read through the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and learn about the rights that countries around the world have decided that every individual should have. In the class discussion area, discussion the follow three questions:
-How are human rights issues applied in Canada as opposed to the Ukraine? -Do you know of any specific Canadian organizations or individuals engaged in human rights? Are you aware of Canadian organizations or individuals engaged in human rights activities in other countries in the world? -Do you know of any specific actions undertaken by Canadian organizations or individuals in the Ukraine within the area of human rights?
